Sunborn International Holding Oy (SBIH) plans to combine with Rush Factory Plc through a share exchange and listing on Nasdaq Helsinki’s First North marketplace, forming a new Sunborn International Group.

Sunborn has signed a new 30-year lease agreement with Royal Docks Management Authority and Greater London Authority, for the continued operation of a yacht hotel at Royal Victoria Dock.

Sunborn's flagship yacht hotels in Gibraltar and London have both been awarded Green Key certification, a leading standard for excellence in the fields of environmental responsibility and sustainable hotel operation.

London, UK – Sunborn Energy has been successful in an application for Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition Round 4, funded by the UK Department for Transport (DfT) and delivered by Innovate UK. The project will start in March 24 in partnership with Imperial College London.

Sunborn are committed to achieve a low-carbon, sustainable hotel property portfolio by 2028. This will include both the company’s newly constructed 4th generation floating hotels and through the retrofitting of the existing yacht hotels in London and Gibraltar.

Sunborn London has won the prestigious award for Europe’s Leading Boutique Hotel at the 2021 World Travel Awards. The hotel was nominated alongside some of Europe's finest hotels and was the only award nominee from the UK.

In September an operator lease was signed for Pinella, a Sunborn property in Turku. The new operator, Son of a Punch, bring two separate concepts to the venue – Liberty or Death, a Brooklyn inspired cocktail bar and Pizzeria Via Tribunali, an authentic Neapolitan pizza restaurant.

Sunborn International has taken over the management of the Sunborn London yacht hotel, as part of an expansion plan in the capital, as the company continues to expand their fleet of superyacht hotels to new waterfront locations around the world.

Sunborn has acquired Hartela’s share in Logomo, one of the leading live music and event venues in Finland. A public private partnership with the City of Turku, the change of ownership took effect on 1.2.2021 and will become visible to the public in the autumn.

For the second year in a row, the Naantali Spa has won the prestigious award for Finland’s Leading Hotel at the 2020 World Travel Awards. At the awards the Naantali Spa’s new, two-storey theme suites also won the award for Finland’s Best Hotel Suite.

Planning permission has been granted for the new Sunborn London, a newly constructed eco-friendly yacht hotel with 225 rooms and extensive leisure and event facilities. The new vessel is currently under development and planned to open in 2025.
