PINELLA

Dating back to 1836, Pinella is the oldest restaurant in Finland, with a long history as a cultural and artistic venue. The derelict original buildings were renovated by Sunborn in 2011, a project that included the largest urban archaeological digs in Finnish history, due to the cultural history of the property and location in medieval Turku.

The property has 2 separate buildings – the original colonnades on the riverside and wood Pinella which faces a city park, which were connected in the renovation by a new glass enclosed staircase. The property is currently leased to Pizzeria Via Tribunali and Liberty or Death, who operate a cocktail bar in wood Pinella.
