LogoHub Construction to Begin in October

Construction of LogoHub, a major new transport and service hub in Turku, will begin in October 2025. Located next to the Logomo Bridge on Ratapihankatu, the five-story, 15,300 m² development will combine modern station services with a 393-space parking facility, creating a seamless connection between Turku’s main railway station and the Logomo cultural center.

Planned for completion in spring 2027, LogoHub will bring together station operations, parking, and new amenities under one roof, serving more than 2.4 million passengers annually. The ground floor will house station services alongside retail and customer-focused facilities, including a kiosk, car rental, and parcel collection point.

The project represents a significant step forward for Turku’s transport infrastructure, enhancing accessibility to the growing Logomo district while supporting sustainable mobility across the city. Nearly 200 bicycle spaces, 12 supercharger stations, 24 taxi stands, and a Fölläri city bike station will position LogoHub as a comprehensive mobility hub.

Sustainability is central to the project’s design. A hybrid energy system combining geothermal and district heating will power the facility, complemented by a rooftop solar plant producing approximately 300 MWh annually. One-quarter of parking spaces will be equipped with EV charging from the outset, with capacity to scale up as demand increases.

“LogoHub will become a new landmark for Turku’s railway yard, where modern parking, sustainable construction, and passenger services come together as one,” says Hans Niemi, Group CEO of Sunborn Group. “Despite a challenging market environment, financing has been secured, and we are delighted to begin construction on this future-oriented project.”

Designed by Arco Architecture Company and built by Rakennusliike Lapti Oy, LogoHub is being delivered in cooperation with the City of Turku, the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, and VR. Financing arrangements were supported by Ernst & Young, with Norion Bank Suomi as the project’s financing partner.
